Annual Menopause Review

Your annual review is a key part of ensuring your menopause care continues to meet your ongoing needs. It is more than just a catch up – it is a designated time to reflect on how things have been over the past 12 months, what is working well and if there are any adjustments to your treatment plan that may be needed. By taking this time each year to review and reflect we can ensure that the care you receive remains as effective, supportive and personalised as possible.

During the appointment, we will take the time to thoroughly review any unmanaged or new symptoms, your overall wellbeing, and any changes you have experienced since your last consultation. This includes both physical and emotional health, as we recognise the wide ranging impact menopause can have. We will assess the effectiveness of your current treatment plan including any prescribed medications, supplements or lifestyle changes. If necessary, we will discuss alternative approaches to your care to better suit your lifestyle. Whether your symptoms have improved, stayed the same or worsened this is your opportunity to ask any questions and raise concerns, and take an active role in the next phase of your menopause journey. We will also have time to discuss any new health concerns you may have, even if you are not sure if they are directly linked to your menopause. Taking a holistic approach to your care means we will look at your wellbeing as a whole, not as individual symptoms.

As already mentioned, if appropriate a new prescription will be provided as part as the consultation price. However, please note that the cost of the medication is a separate charge determined by the pharmacist but this will be calculated in your review.
